Mommy and Daddy just bought their first house! You'll have your own room and a yard to play in with the dog. Life is looking up and you should be coming along any day now :D The next entry I make on here will be to announce your birth. Good luck, little Wyley. I can't wait to meet you!

* Wyley is about 35cm long and 2002-2009g at 36 weeks. Wyley will be 40cm and 3200+g at 40 weeks.
 
36 Weeks
Gastrointestinal System:
* Tummy matured :)
* Digestive enzymes sufficient for digestion.
* Little saliva produced and unable to digest starch or fats well.
Musculoskeletal System:
* Definite movement, fair tone, and can now elevate head.
Renal System:
* New nephron formation ceases.
Neurological System:
* Definite sleep-wake cycle.
 
40 Weeks
Musculoskeletal System:
* Good tone.
Respiratory System:
* Pulmonary branching 2/3 complete.
Neurological System:
* Myelination of brain begins.
* Patterned sleep-wake cycle.
* Cries when hungry or uncomfortable.
Reproductive System:
* Testes in scrotom.
 

Features of Your Fetus:

* Heart beat present.

* Blood cells and vessels have formed.

* Pharynx, lower respiratory tract, esophagus, stomach, 1st half of the duodenum, liver, pancreas, and gallbladder there.

* Kidneys formed.

* Brain formed and brain waves detectable.

* Thyroid and adrenal glands present.

* Bones and muscles developed.

* Flat bones of skull developing.

* 2 layers of skin cells.

* Fingers, toes, ears, and nose forming.
